My style and story
A GUILDFORD NEWBORN & BABY PHOTOGRAPHER
Based near to Guildford in Surrey and with over seven years experience as a newborn & baby photographer, my style doesn't use elaborate lighting nor do I bring fancy props, instead I use natural light to create authentic and natural images in clients homes. I keep posing to a minimum, and gently guide and direct my families for relaxed soulful photographs. The older babies get, the more likely we are to step outside and capture more family moments in the great outdoors.

I photograph newborns and babies in Haslemere, Godalming, Guildford and other areas across Surrey & West Sussex and trive to give my clients a relaxed and enjoyable experience. It's a chance for parents to take a step back from the day to day routine, and allow themselves some indulgent moments to enjoy their beautiful baby. Sometimes it's just a chance to relax and have a cuppa, while I focus on soothing baby, or playing peekaboo. It's not just about the magic you feel when you view your gallery of photographs, it's all about the ease of the shoot too.
The majority of my baby work takes place at clients homes, making it not only easier for parents but also ensuring babies feel comfortable in their own surroundings. The older babies get the more likely we are to venture outside to capture some more natural family moments in the great outdoors.

In the comfort of your home
I started my photography business after a becoming a Mum and knowing I didn't want to return to my previous corporate career in advertising. I have so much to thank motherhood for and from a career perspective it was the empowerment to follow my dreams of combining something I love to do and running my own business.
For the last seven years I have been photographing families across Surrey & West Sussex, capturing joyful family portraits. Every shoot has been so special, but I've particularly love the special stories and memories I have created for the baby years. So in January 2021 I decided to rebrand to specialise in the wonderful world of tiny toes & baby rolls and Beginnings by Vanessa Keevil Photography was born.
